Paws at Peace was founded in 2024 with the purpose of elevating the level of medicine and care surrounding veterinary palliative care and euthanasia. Making the decision to say goodbye to your pet is never an easy one, and owners often struggle with deciding when the "right" time is.
Every situation and every pet is different. This is based on many variables including your pets specific disease process, personal religious or ethical views, and how willing and/or able you are to provide nursing care at home (to name a few). What unites all pet owners together in this difficult situation is the universal wish that their pet does not suffer. This is where we come in.
Hearing that your pet does not have very long to live is often incredibly overwhelming. As humans, we need time to process what we are being told. Paws at Peace gives owners the time to process this upsetting information, to ask questions, and also to communicate how they would like to proceed with their pets medical care moving forward. Paws at Peace focusses specifically on end of life care. That is, to ensure that your pet is happy, has a good quality of life, and does not suffer in their final days.
We do not provide routine wellness, diagnostic, or treatment medicine. We kindly refer you back to your primary veterinarian for these services.
